Hi, I have over 15 years of experience in the field of psychology. I have worked as a psychologist, researcher, and instructor. My career has primarily been at the Centre for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CFCBT), but I’ve also gained valuable experience in hospitals, post-secondary institutions, and community organizations.
I consider myself genuine, non-judgmental, compassionate, and a lifelong learner. I love diving deep into the science of human behavior and neuroscience. I earned my PhD at the University of Alberta and continue to stay up to date by attending conferences, participating in consultation groups, and keeping up to date with webinars and podcasts. I’m passionate about normalizing mental health and sharing the latest scientific insights with the public, this led to @dr.joti.psychology
While scientific studies provide valuable insights into human nature, they’re just the beginning. We all have unique lives, experiences, cultures, and belief systems. Science can inform and explain our experiences, but it doesn’t capture the full complexity of human nature.
