I offer both in-person and online counseling services to accommodate your needs. Our online sessions are conducted using a secure telemedicine platform where all data is encrypted, ensuring your privacy and confidentiality. Your sessions remain anonymous, and we adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations to protect your personal information. Whether you prefer the comfort of your home or an in-office experience, you can trust that your care is handled with the utmost security and professionalism.
Individual therapy involves one-on-one sessions with a therapist, while group therapy involves multiple clients working together with one or more therapists. Both types of therapy can be effective depending on the client's needs and goals.
The psychological fee are based on the Fee Schedule provided by the Psychologist Association of Alberta (PAA). The current fee is set at $220.00 per 50 minute counselling session. There is no GST charge on psychological services. Receipts are provided for insurance reimbursement. Note that Alberta Health Care does not cover psychological services, but Blue Cross and most other group insurance plans do. Fees may also be deductible as a medical expense on your personal income tax.
As a dedicated psychologist, I believe in the importance of specialization to provide the highest quality of care. While I strive to help my clients in many areas, I want to be transparent about my focus and expertise. I am not specialized in the treatment of addictions, couples or family therapy, or working with children. Additionally, I do not specialize in treating eating disorders. My aim is to ensure you receive the best possible care, and in these areas, I would recommend seeking a specialist who can better meet your needs.
